HERMEiAS Acquires LLMRed; Creator Jawad Momani Joins as Head of Security Operations
HERMEiAS has acquired LLMRed, a proprietary enterprise security evaluation engine for large language model systems. The acquisition closed on October 5, 2026. Jawad Momani, the engineer behind LLMRed, has joined HERMEiAS as Head of Security Operations.
What LLMRed is
LLMRed makes testing large language model systems clear, consistent, reproducible, and explainable. Instead of black-box scoring, it turns model behavior into evidence: every finding records the input, the response, the detection rule, the evidence, severity, confidence, reproduction data, and remediation.
It runs structured and adversarial test suites covering prompt injection, jailbreaks, system prompt leakage, sensitive data exposure, insecure tool use, excessive agency, RAG poisoning, authorization failures, and attack chains. An adaptive attack engine evolves tests from observed behavior while keeping them reproducible, and deterministic regression lets teams compare model versions directly. The same suites run across cloud, local, hosted, and custom models through a single adapter architecture.
For deployment, LLMRed enforces policies that PASS, WARN, or BLOCK a release based on severity, confidence, and required controls, from the command line and CI/CD gates. It also produces technical and executive reports with risk trends, model comparisons, and remediation status.
Jawad Momani joins HERMEiAS
Jawad Momani engineered LLMRed with a single goal: to apply enterprise security rigor to AI systems, replacing subjective evaluation with transparent evidence and enforceable security decisions. As Head of Security Operations at HERMEiAS, he leads the company's security work, including assessments, audits, code review, and hardening, and continues to lead LLMRed.
What happens next
LLMRed joins the HERMEiAS product portfolio and stays closed source and proprietary. Its roadmap includes new vulnerability modules, attack techniques, integrations, scoring, governance, and security intelligence.
